Details & Policies
Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more details about booking a tour with us!
Booking Details
From the start, we will communicate with you to determine what you’d like to do and where you’d like to go. If you’re not familiar with the Valley, we’ll ask you of your preferred kinds of wine, types of wineries you’d like to visit and scenery you’d like to enjoy. For the most part, wineries now request appointments be made, therefore, we’ll get plans made as much ahead of time as possible! Depending on the size of the group, we recommend three to four wineries a day for a full day of tasting and touring. When we work out the details together of your day, we can determine what will work the best for you.

When you have agreed to do a wine tour with us, we ask for a $100 deposit to secure your place on our calendar. At that point, we start work with you to determine your tour and make all the appointments needed for you.
Cancellation Policy
If you decide to cancel the tour booked 14 days before the date of the tour, a refund of 100% of the deposit will be given. If cancellation is between 14 and 7 days prior to the tour date, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. If you cancel the tour within 7 days of the date, no refund will be given unless there are certain exigent circumstances – determined by Custom Valley Wine Tours. If for some reason, we cancel the tour for any reason, you will receive a full refund of the deposit.
Payment
For the deposit, we accept Venmo or a personal check through the mail. At the end of the tour, we request that you pay the remaining balance with Venmo, cash or a personal check.
Gratuity
Gratuity is not included in the price of the tour and is left to the discretion of the guests.
Buying Wine
Most wineries can ship wine to your home if you live within certain states in the US. You can also pack bottles in checked luggage or check an entire box of wine (if specially packed) as one of your checked bags. Alaska Airlines even offers a wine fly free program with wines bought in Oregon. We can also let you know of different shippers that specialize in shipping wine for you.
Weather Conditions
Rain or shine, the tour goes on! All wineries have covered or indoor areas so you won’t get rained on. In the very rare event that a tour has to be canceled because of a freeze or snow, we will refund your deposit to you or you can work with us to re-book for another day.
